What happens in Vegas...

I took a few days off work this week so that we could come see my dad in Vegas. We have been staying at the Aria Hotel, which is beautiful, as an aside. Well, tonight I went to get us some ice after quite a long day. For some background, Boston has recently begun to open doors. This has posed some challenges, mostly just making him a little harder to keep tabs on. Tonight, as I went for ice, Boston posed quite a challenge for Mark (I'm already giggling just writing this)! Mark had just begun to unwind, including stripping down to skivvies only, when he heard the slam of a door. Boston had taken the split second advantage he had been given (just after I left, but before Mark had a chance to lock the deadbolt) to hightail his little behind out the door and take off running down the hall. Mark's only thought was to get Boston back as soon as he could. It was not until the escapee was apprehended that he began to realize his present attire was not fit for social interaction. He reached our door just as it closed shut, locking him out. Meanwhile, I'm walking back from the ice machine, and soon I hear a familiar voice. I get closer and think, "Man, Boston is loud!". Then I get even closer and see this crouched figure, very interestingly clad, clutching a toddler to his front for dear life. At first I thought the two of them were just waiting for me for the fun of it. Boston seemed to be having a good time, anyway! But it quickly became apparent through the panic in Mark's eyes (and his urging for me to move faster) what must have happened. All I have to say is, it's good I listened to that little voice that told me to grab the key on my way out to get ice. I think I have a pretty awesome idea for the next "What happens in Vegas commercial...". Maybe we should submit it!
