Getting So Big

Boston is getting so big lately. He is talking a lot and picking up on things very quickly. The other day we went in to get a coke (okay, it was like 7:00 in the morning, don't judge) and the lady at the counter (who knows us well by now...again, don't judge) said to Boston, "Good morning, handsome!" He replied back, "Ah Mo-nay!" Then as we walked away, he said, "Bye, see ya," which is one of his favorite things to say. But that was the first time he had ever said good morning, and he says it all the time now. It seems like that's the case with a lot of things lately. One day he will just pick up on it, and then it becomes part of his daily dialogue. I guess we'd better watch what we say! He has already repeated several things I've said such as, "Oh crap," "Shoot," and other choice phrases. Here are a couple cute videos (kind of long though) of Boston. In the first one, he kept saying, "Hi, Mama." He has recently started putting words together in short sentences, the longest of which was, "Bye, see ya, Mom," about a month ago. But he has learned to address people when he talks, which is so cute when he does it. In the second video, at the very end, he says, "Bye, see ya." I also love the second video because today was the first time Boston had ever been given dip for his food, and he was very much into it.

This is just a cute picture of Boston enjoying his dip.

Here's Boston trying to sit inside his Mickey Shoe Car Garage. It's a little small, but at one point he actually got one of his legs all the way in. It looked like he was wearing the garage like a pant leg. Too bad I didn't get a picture of it!

He is totally into anything Mickey Mouse lately. So cute. The other day, Nikki kept trying to get him to say her name. She kept saying, "Nikki.... Ni-ki..." to try and get him to repeat it. She said after the fifty millionth time she had said, "Nikki," he went and got Mickey and handed it to her, looking triumphant. Too cute.

Here's Boston, happy with his McDonald's shake I got him when he wouldn't eat anything that day... He had no trouble downing the vanilla shake. Go figure.

Boston is always pulling funny faces. Here is one of his "surprised" looks that he gives. He's so funny.

Just another cute shot of him and his shake.

Here's Boston enjoying his tool bench that Grandma got him for Christmas. The saw and drill make lots of noise, and he loves to get them both going at once.

He looks like he got caught doing something naughty here. Just making lots of noise, as always.

Christmas 2010

This Christmas was really fun for me. Even though Boston was too young to understand why he was being showered with all these gifts, he was really excited at all the new toys. He even helped open quite a few of them. And some of them were almost completely unwrapped several days before Christmas, as he just couldn't keep his little hands off the shiny paper-covered boxes under the tree. At my house or at Nikki's. So he was pretty excited when he was finally allowed to tear open all the packages that he had been eyeing for several days. There are lots of pictures here, so I will just give a quick run down of the morning. He has a little sick that day (as he was most of December), so he started off a little slow. But the excitement and curiosity finally got the better of him. He enjoyed opening most of his presents, the favorites of which I believe are the Mickey Mouse Choo Choo and the gigantic mat of the ABCs. I find letters, numbers, and shapes all over my house. In kitchen drawers, crammed in the doors of the entertainment unit, you name it. But he loves it. Truth be told, we went a little overboard this Christmas on toys. But in our defense, Boston really had nothing to play with before and wasn't interested in playing with anything at the house. Now he pretty much has a designated play room and will play all day! So here's a bunch of picture from Christmas...
